Using a DTS service with CMS allows you to publish dynamic data. Specifying a DTS server allows metadata/tags/categories for your site to be indexed. If your site is built with dynamic widgets, the DTS server needs to be identified for publishing. If your sites do not use dynamic widgets, then a DTS server does not need to be specified.
Multiple DTS servers can be configured if different sites require different delivery services.
