Themes
Percussion uses standard CSS-based Web design, so site design is possible using only CSS. A theme is simply a standard CSS file saved into the theme directory on the Percussion server. Each theme directory may contain other theme related files such as images and other CSS files that are referenced by the theme CSS file.
Templates
A template defines the look and feel of a set of pages. All pages in Percussion are created from a template. Templates allow designers and users to organize and assign the two major design objects: regions and widgets. Regions create the layout or "wireframe" of the design, while widgets allow specific content and interactive functions to be placed into the layout. Each template can link to one theme.
Navigation and Site Architecture
The site navigation reflects the site architecture. You can add sections within the navigation which will automatically create a directory and insert a landing page "index" at the folder root. You can then drag and drop sections around within the navigation to modify your information architecture. This change is not only reflected in the navigation, but the directories themselves are moved and renamed as appropriate.
